Rahul was a quiet boy. He lived in a small town in the hills. He liked the soft sounds of birds and leaves. But today was different. His parents were taking him to a big mall in Bengaluru. They were going to meet family from far away. As they drove to the city, Rahul felt scared. There were many cars and big buildings.

When they got to the mall, Rahul’s eyes got big. It was a very big mall! “Let’s go in, Rahul,” his mother said. She held out her hand.

Rahul didn’t want to go. There were many people. They were all talking. Music was playing. There were bright signs everywhere. It was too much!

“I can’t,” Rahul said softly. He covered his ears.

Then Aunt Priya came. She smiled and talked softly. “Hi, Rahul. I know it’s loud here. Want to hold my hand?” Rahul said yes. They walked into the mall slowly.

Aunt Priya showed him nice things, like a water fountain and a candy shop. This helped Rahul feel better.

But soon, it got too noisy again. Rahul wanted to cry. “I want to go home,” he said.

A lady in a striped dress saw Rahul was upset. She came to help. “Hi! I’m Meera. I work here. Do you want to see our quiet room?”

Meera took them to a small, quiet room. It had soft lights and comfy chairs. “You can rest here when it’s too noisy,” she said.

Rahul felt better in the quiet room. After a while, he wanted to look around again. Meera gave him a special badge. It said “Helper Friend” on it. She told him, “If you feel scared, show this to any worker. We will help you find a quiet place.”

With his new badge and Aunt Priya, Rahul felt braver. They went to a book shop. He found a story about a boy who could talk to animals.

Then they had ice cream. Rahul tried a flavour called ‘Mango Magic’.

Rahul learned something important that day. The mall was big and noisy, but there were nice people to help. He just had to ask.

When it was time to go home, Rahul said, “Can we come back? I want to try more ice cream!”
